Berkshire Valley Golf Course is excited to hire Food Service employees for our upcoming season. This position will act as both Beverage Cart Attendant and Snack Bar Attendant. The Food Services position is integral to the guest experience and provides food and beverage services (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to the guests of the property. The Food Service employee will service beverages at the facility and provide a high-quality service-oriented environment.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Must be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law
  • Working knowledge of beer, wine and liquor and common drink recipes preferred
  • Ability to operate computerized/electronic cash register system
  • Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely
  • Knowledge of and ability to safely operate a motorized beverage cart using proper golf etiquette
  • Must have a friendly personality and enjoy working with the public
  • Must have strong skills in Customer Service
  • Must be dependable

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times
  • Drive the beverage cart to different areas on the golf course to service guests
  • Maintains a supply of all bar products/supplies, including all glassware, expendable paper and other supplies
  • Stock beverage carts to par levels each day of use
  • Assures that all laws applicable to beverage operations are consistently followed
  • Operate Micros, handle cash, room charges, guest member charges and credit card charges according to procedure
  • Learn the names of regulars and personally recognize them
  • Monitor guest experience and take appropriate action to assure the best customer service.
  • Inspects the bar prior to opening to ensure adequate supplies and inventory are available
  • Prepares garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks
  • Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned
  • Communicate effectively with peers, management, line and front of the house employees
  • Ensure that all customers are greeted in a timely, friendly, and professional manner
  • Assist in upkeep of the golf course as needed
  • Assist in food preparation and tend bar as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager
