Multi Currency Feature for Pay&Save/ Pay&Save-i Account

This feature will be available to Connect users with Pay&Save/ Pay&Save-i Account. With this feature, your will be able to keep up to 11 currencies within your account and spend or withdraw cash in any foreign currency (except Renmimbi) that are available in your account using just your debit card.

Pocket Connect

Parents with Junior Savings account will be able to assign task viaHLB Connect Online Banking for their kid(s) to complete and earn money. Kids will be able to request for tasks, set savings goal and more via this app.

Available for Junior Saving Account holders.

If you are an ASNB account holder, you will be able to view your account details as well as your minor’s account details and make additional subscription to your / your minor’s or third party ASNB account on HLB Connect Online Banking.

Push Notification of incoming funds transfer

Notification of incoming Duitnow and IBG transfers to your account will now be sent via push notification to yourHLB Connect App instead of via SMS.

A copy of the alert in SMS will be sent if you are out of the Internet coverage.

The ALL-NEW HLB Connect App

The All-New HLB Connect App replaces the old app on 8 August 2020.

The old app will no longer be available for service.

Scan QR

A new method of making and receiving payment is now available on the all-new HLB Connect App. As a Connect user, you can scan QR code (starting with DuitNow QR Code and more to come) to make payment via your Connect App. You can also generate your own QR code in HL Connect App / Online banking to receive funds from others.

Connect ATM Withdrawal

This function is now available on the new HLB Connect App. You no longer need to use the old app to perform cardless cash withdrawal from HLB ATM.

Push Notification of incoming DuitNow funds Transfer

Notification of incoming DuitNow funds transferred to your account will now be sent via push notification to the old Connect App instead of via SMS.

However, you will still receive a copy of the SMS notification if you are out of the network coverage or if you are only using the New Connect App.

The all-new HLB Connect App is now available in Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei App Gallery for downloads.

The new app is designed with a fresh new look, seamless interface and handy feature for a better mobile banking experience.

Enhancement

Instant Transfer was renamed as DuitNow to Account. All Standing Instruction for Instant Transfer are automatically converted to DuitNow Standing Instruction for customers’ convenience.

AppAuthorise

AppAuthorise was introduced as an added security feature on Connect App. It allows you to authorise Connect Online Banking payments or transfers of RM10,000 and above to non-favourite recipients via your Connect App. AppAuthorise can only be enabled on one device at any given time.

Mobile Alerts

Mobile Alerts became a mandatory feature of Connect App. With this feature you will now receive your post transaction notifications via push notification to Connect app inbox instead of SMS. Mobile Alerts must be enabled on at least one mobile device although you may choose to enable it on up to five devices with Connect App.

We’ve increased our online Telegraphic Transfer (OTT)daily limit. You can now transfer up to RM200,000!

To adjust your daily transfer limit in Connect Online, click on Settings after you’ve logged in.

e-Duit Raya

Introducing e-Duit Raya in conjunction with the Hari Raya celebrations. You can now send e-Duit Raya to family and friends via DuitNow. A modern twist to the traditional Duit Raya packets!

Security Update

As an added security measure to protect your account, any transaction that is deemed unusual / suspicious by our fraud detection system will be temporarily held. Our Fraud Management Unit will call within an hour to verify transaction authenticity. Once verified your transaction will be approved and will take effect immediately.

You will be notified via SMS /Connect App push notification accordingly.

Type of fund transfers that are subject to call back verification:

  • 3rd Party HLB account
  • Instant Transfer
  • DuitNow to Mobile No /Other ID
  • Telegraphic Transfer

Mobile No. for TAC

You can now use the same mobile number that you have provided to us during account opening when you update your mobile number to receive TAC at any of our ATMs. If you update a different mobile number, you will receive a verification call from our Customer Care team before the number is approved.

You will be notified via SMS of the Approval or Rejection status.

Minor enhancement and label updates to fund transfer journey following the introduction of DuitNow feature.

1. Fund Transfer

  • Other Account Transfer is now Transfers to Others.
  • DuitNow is now DuitNow to Mobile / Other ID.
  • 3rd Party HLB /IBG / Instant Transfers is now 3rd Party HLB Account and Instant Transfer /IBG respectively.

2. Instant Transfer/IBG -Now able to entermore details of up to 40 characters in Recipient Reference and up to 140 characters for Other Payment Details.

3. Add /Delete Favourite

  • DuitNow is now Mobile No / Other ID.
  • 3rd Party HLB is now to HLB Account.
  • Other Banks is now Other Bank Account.

4. Online Transaction Limit - DuitNow is now DuitNow to Mobile/ Other ID

Connect App

  1. Transfer > Other Account transaction will now be via DuitNow (Instant Transfer).
  2. Connect ATM Withdrawal feature at pre-login can be accessed by tapping on More.
  3. DuitNow Settings can be accessed by tapping on Menu > Settings > DuitNow.
  4. Fixed Deposits placement can be made by tapping on Menu > Apply > FD
